The heart of central London may seem a long way from the world’s international shipping lanes, but for two days in September 2017 it will be the very epicentre of the global maritime industry. The annual International Marine Purchasing Association (IMPA) will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster on the 12th and 13th, and once again Eazychem will be part of the event.
The Maritime Purchasing and Supply sector is busier than ever nowadays, and one of the key aspects of working in this arena is the need to remain compliant with laws and regulations which are often changing and evolving. There are a number of side events taking place at IMPA London, including one on the legal aspects of maritime procurement.
Ballast water regulations are sure to be a major talking point
Given the continuing development of important laws on the exchange and discharge of ballast water, it’s vital for industry specialists to understand their responsibilities. The opportunity to mingle with others from within the sector shouldn’t be underestimated, in part because it provides a chance to discuss and share best practice.
Needless to say, there are many more issues which will be on the agenda at IMPA London this year. The maritime industry is by its very nature one that covers the globe, and for the majority of specialists there are very few opportunities during the year to make contact with others. This year’s event gives us at Eazychem a chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
The event where the whole industry comes together
Many of the major players in the industry will be maintaining a presence at IMPA London, including:
- Keuhne & Nagel
- Fuji Transport Systems
- Shell Marine
- SKV Group
- Scandia Gear Europe BV
…and many more. In fact, this year there will be over 125 exhibitors and more than 2,000 key decision makers in attendance.
Here at Eazychem, we realise how important this event has become in recent years. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible, and to discuss issues relating to our complex, ever-changing industry. We will be on stand 118, so please come over and say hello.
